Batik is one of Indonesia’s cultural heritages that reflects aesthetic values, philosophical meanings, and local identity. Batik Worogo, a local batik developed in Alasnyiur Village, Probolinggo Regency, represents a cultural asset with both social and economic potential. However, its sustainability faces challenges, particularly the low involvement of younger generations in batik-making activities. This study aims to analyze the forms of community empowerment through the preservation of Batik Worogo and its impact on cultural sustainability. This research employed a qualitative descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving batik artisans and community members participating in the Community Service Program (KKN). The findings indicate that community empowerment was implemented through practical batik training, artisan mentoring, and youth involvement in the production process. These participatory activities enhanced community skills, strengthened cultural awareness, and encouraged the regeneration of batik artisans. Furthermore, the empowerment initiatives contributed to increasing youth participation, improving understanding of Batik Worogo’s philosophical values, strengthening local cultural identity, and enhancing its economic value. In conclusion, community empowerment plays a significant role in sustaining Batik Worogo as both a cultural heritage and an economic asset of Alasnyiur Village.
