<p>Rendahnya kemampuan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah pada pelajaran matematika biasanya disebabkan oleh kesulitan–kesulitan yang dialami siswa ketika mempelajari matematika. Kesulitan atau kendala belajar dapat disebabkan oleh faktor internal dan eksternal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan dan faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika pada pokok bahasan persamaan kuadrat ditinjau dari kriteria Watson. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian campuran, yaitu prosedur untuk mengumpulkan, menganlisis, dan menggabungkan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif dalam satu penelitian. Subjek/objek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-8 SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo, yang terdiri dari 36 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara, dan angket. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas X-8 di SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan yang dialami pada kategori kesalahan data tidak tepat sebanyak 19,4%, kategori prosedur tidak tepat sebanyak 94,4%, kategori data hilang sebanyak 25%, kategori kesimpulan hilang sebanyak 97,2%, kategori konflik level respon sebanyak 80,5%, kategori manipulasi tidak langsung sebanyak 66,6%, kategori masalah hirarkhi keterampilan sebanyak 69,4% dan pada kategori terakhir selain ketujuh kategori sebanyak 25%. Hasil ini juga menunjukkan bahwa satu siswa tidak hanya mengalami satu kesulitan saja menurut teori Watson. Adapun faktor penyebab kesulitan itu ialah faktor internal berkenaan dengan kesehatan/kondisi tubuh, kemampuan/kecerdasan, bakat, minat, motivasi, dan cara belajar. <p><em>This research aims to determine the difficulties and factors causing students' difficulties in solving mathematical problems on the subject of quadratic equations in terms of Watson's criteria. This research is mixed research, namely a procedure for collecting, analyzing and combining qualitative and quantitative methods in one research. The subjects/objects of the research were students in class X-8 of SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo, consisting of 36 students. The instruments used are tests, interviews and questionnaires. Data was analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. The research subjects were students in class X-8 at SMA Negeri 1 Situbondo. The results of the study showed that the difficulties experienced in the inaccurate data error category were 19.4%, the incorrect procedure category was 94.4%, the missing data category was 25%, the missing conclusion category was 97.2%, the response level conflict category was 80.5%, indirect manipulation category as much as 66.6%, skill hierarchy problem category as much as 69.4% and in the last category other than the seven categories as much as 25%. These results also show that one student does not only experience one difficulty according to Watson's theory. The factors that cause difficulties are internal factors related to health/body condition, ability/intelligence, talent, interests, motivation and ways of learning. <p>The science of mawaris is the science used to divide the inheritance among all the family members left behind by a person's death. In Indonesia, especially in the village of Bantur, there are still some people who do not understand the division of inheritance, so various undesirable things often happen. Islam explains how to divide inheritance according to the words of Allah SWT and the Hadith of the Prophet. This research is based on a literature review. The instruments used in the study were documents from books and scientific works on Faraid and Least Common Multiple (LCM). This research implements mathematical material, namely KPK, into the science of Mawaris. This research aims to describe how to divide the inheritance according to the science of faraid using the least common denominator (LCM). The results showed that KPK can be used to solve inheritance problems and faraid calculations from an Islamic perspective. This creates halal and blessed wealth. This is because the Qur'an already provides for the distribution of inheritance. <p>In the rapid digital transformation age, educational institutions face significant challenges and opportunities in adapting their teaching and learning strategies. This study aimed to explore the integration of digital technology within Islamic boarding schools, focusing on how these institutions navigate the complexities of change and its impact on educational outcomes. Using a qualitative descriptive narrative research design, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations involving 20 participants from Junior High School (SMP) and Islamic Senior High School (MA) in Modern Islamic Boarding School (PPM) Al-Azhar Muncar Banyuwangi, including school leaders, teachers, and students. The findings revealed that successful digital integration enhances student engagement, knowledge retention, and critical thinking skills, driven by strategic planning, visionary leadership, and robust infrastructure. However, the study also identifies challenges such as resistance to change and the need for equitable access to technology. The implications underscore the importance of effective leadership, stakeholder involvement, and ongoing exploration of innovative strategies in the digital age, particularly within traditional educational settings. <p>The importance of understanding concepts in learning mathematics, which is the basis for students to face various challenges in mathematics. The purpose of this research is to describe the concept understanding ability of vocational students in solving composition function problems. The method used in this research was descriptive qualitative with research subjects of 12 class X students at Al-Khusyu' Wates Vocational School. Data was collected through test results that focused on composition function material and in-depth interviews with students. The research results showed that students in the high category were able to meet three indicators of concept understanding ability, while students in the medium category could only meet two indicators. Low category students have not been able to meet the expected concept understanding ability indicators. These findings indicate significant variations in conceptual understanding among students, highlighting the need for more effective educational interventions to improve mathematical abilities, especially for students in the low category. <p>This study aims to investigate the application of ethnomathematics-based mathematics learning through the traditional game Engklek. This game was chosen because it has mathematical elements, especially the concept of flat shapes, which are relevant to mathematics materials. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach to analyse how the game of Engklek can be integrated into the mathematics learning process. Data were collected through observation, interviews and documentation of students involved in Engklek game activities in the school environment. The results showed that the Engklek game can be an effective medium to introduce mathematical concepts contextually, especially in the aspect of plane geometry. In addition, the integration of local cultural elements through ethnomathematics can increase students' interest and motivation in learning mathematics. <p>In multicultural education, the implementation of differentiated instruction faces various challenges related to cultural diversity and teacher preparedness. This study aims to explore the strategies and challenges in implementing differentiated instruction at SDN Gambor. A qualitative descriptive approach with a case study design was employed, involving in-depth interviews with teachers and students, as well as classroom observations. The findings indicate that major challenges include limited media resources and a lack of teacher readiness. However, strategies such as the use of local languages (Javanese and Osing) and flexible grouping of students' abilities proved effective. Analysis results showed an improvement in student understanding and engagement in learning. The implications of this study emphasize the need for integrating local cultural elements into the curriculum and professional development for teachers, as well as supportive educational policies, to address challenges in multicultural contexts. <p>Students' confidence and math problem solving ability are affective and cognitive aspects of students where both aspects need to be considered important by educators, so a learning model is needed that can encourage both aspects, namely the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS) -Heuristic learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristic learning model on Self Efficacy and math problem solving skills. This research is a type of Quasy Experiment Design research with Pre-test Post-test control group design. The subjects in this study were 30 students of class VIII B (experimental class) and 28 students of class VIII C (control class). The sampling technique used Purposive Sampling. The instruments used were and tests. Data analysis techniques using descriptive analysis techniques and inferential analysis with regression analysis, coefficient of determination and independent samples test. The results of the test obtained from the analysis of the hypothesis of the student's Self Efficacy questionnaire obtained a sig value of 0.002≤0.05, the percentage of influence was 30.6% and the problem solving ability test obtained a sig value of 0.000≤0.05, and the percentage of influence was 65.2% so it can be concluded that there is an effect of the Logan Avenue Problem Solving (LAPS)-Heuristic learning model on Self Efficacy and math problem solving ability.</p>Siti HabibaDiyah Ayu Rizki PraditaAhmad Choirul Anam

<p><em>Problem solving ability is one of the important aspects in learning mathematics where students can apply mathematical concepts in the context of everyday life. The purpose of this study was to describe the problem solving ability of MTs Al-Ihsan Blambangan students in solving story problems on Linear Equation One Variable (PLSV) material. The research was conducted on 22 students of Class VII MTs Al-Ihsan Blambangan. The research subjects were selected 3 students based on the categories of high, medium and low problem solving ability. Data collection in this qualitative descriptive research was done through written tests in the form of PLSV story problems and interviews. The data were analysed using Polya's indicators of problem solving ability, namely understanding the problem, planning strategies, implementing solutions and checking again. The results showed that MTs Al-Ihsan Blambangan students have problem solving categories in the medium and low categories. Low category students can only meet the indicator of understanding the problem in solving PLSV story problems. It is said that mathematics is a scientific discipline that can improve thinking and argumentation skills, contribute to solving everyday problems both in the world of education and the world of work, as well as providing support in the development of science and technology so it is important for students to improve their mathematics achievements. This research aims to determine the influence of students' self-confident attitudes in improving mathematics achievement by providing appreciation for students' learning outcomes. This research is a quantitative approach with data collection techniques through surveys using self-confidence questionnaires and mathematics test sheets. The subjects of this research were 24 regular class XII students at SYEKH ABDUL QADIR AL JAILANI SMA. This research uses the multiple linear regression method to analyze the influence of the independent variable on the dependent variable by hypothesis testing and data analysis procedures carried out with the help of the SPSS application. The results of this research method are hypothesis testing using the F test that the variables self-confidence and mathematics achievement have a significant influence. <p>Teacher professionalism plays a vital role in enhancing students' motivation, which is crucial for improving educational outcomes. This study aims to explore the influence of teacher professionalism on student motivation, particularly in a junior high school setting. A qualitative longitudinal approach involved semi-structured interviews with four teachers and six SMP Al-Azhar Muncar Banyuwangi students. Participants were selected using purposive sampling, focusing on teachers with more than five years of experience and students from class VIII. Data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that professional teachers, who exhibit strong communication skills and subject mastery, significantly impact students' desire to learn, with 96% of students reporting increased motivation. Additionally, professional development programs such as workshops and collaborative learning communities enhance teacher effectiveness and, in turn, student engagement. The study highlights the need for continuous professional development to sustain teacher effectiveness, thus fostering a conducive learning environment. <p><em>Mathematics is often a challenge for students, so an appropriate method is needed to make math learning more enjoyable. The perception of difficulty often encountered in math lessons can be minimized with a creative approach. One way to do this is by inviting them to learn mathematics through games. LUDO MATH NAMIRA is designed as a math learning media packaged in the form of an educational game. The target audience of LUDO MATH NAMIRA is 7th-grade students, and the game is applied at SMP NAMIRA in Probolinggo City. LUDO MATH NAMIRA uses game pieces and dice similar to the traditional Ludo game, but the difference lies in how the dice are rolled, which starts with answering a math question card. Each card in LUDO MATH NAMIRA contains algebraic operations with number and algebra learning material. Students who provide the correct answer are given the opportunity to roll the dice and move their piece toward the finish line. Therefore, students are required to complete the operations on the card in order to continue playing. This method has proven effective in encouraging children to learn mathematics, as even though they feel they are playing, their minds remain focused on solving the math problems on the cards.</em></p>Darwin Djeni

<p>Kegiatan belajar mengajar masih menggunakan pembelajaran secara langsung, sehingga beberapa siswa ketika dihadapkan dengan Matematika mereka tidak tertarik, merasa takut, tegang dan tidak memperhatikan. Siswa kurang aktif dalam proses pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran <em>Group Investigation</em> (GI) berbantuan media quizizz terhadap respon siswa, (2) adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran <em>Group Investigation</em> (GI) berbantuan media quizizz terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian Eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh kelas VIII SMP Negeri 3 Asembagus yang berjumlah 56 siswa. Desain penelitian yang digunakan yaitu <em>Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design</em>. Untuk mendapatkan data peneliti menggunakan teknik angket berupa dan pemberian soal tes berupa soal pretest dan posttest berbentuk soal <em>essay.</em> Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: hasil data respon siswa berdasarkan uji anova dengan bantuan SPSS diperoleh Nilai <em>Sig</em>. F = 0,000 < 0,05, maka ditolak dan diterima. Sedangkan, hasil belajar siswa dilihat dari nilai <em>posttest</em> dengan Uji <em>Independent Sampels Test</em> memperoleh nilai <em>Sig. </em>0,003 < 0,05 maka ditolak dan diterima. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi peran kedua platform tersebut dalam meningkatkan pembelajaran Fikih, dengan fokus pada efektivitas dan tantangan yang terkait penggunaannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode campuran, menggabungkan data kuantitatif dari 32 siswa kelas VIII di MTsN 10 Banyuwangi serta wawasan kualitatif dari wawancara dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa YouTube lebih banyak digunakan dibandingkan Instagram, dengan 85% siswa lebih memilih YouTube untuk belajar, yang menyebabkan peningkatan signifikan pada hasil belajar siswa, dari 54,22 menjadi 67,03. Namun, data kualitatif mengungkapkan tantangan, termasuk kekhawatiran tentang keaslian konten agama dan ketergantungan siswa yang berlebihan pada media sosial, yang mengurangi minat pada buku teks tradisional. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji paired sample t-test diperoleh nilai Signifikansi sebesar 0,00<0,05 maka penggunaan media sosial Instagram dan YouTube efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran di kelas. Meskipun tantangan tersebut ada, temuan ini menyarankan bahwa media sosial dapat secara efektif meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dan hasil belajar dalam pendidikan Islam, asalkan keaslian konten dan penggunaan yang tepat tetap dijaga. <p><em>This study aims to describe the critical thinking skills of junior high school students in solving mathematical problems on the material of building space. A descriptive qualitative approach was used in this study, with the subjects being 25 students of Grade IX at SMP Ahmad Yani Malang. Data collection was done through a written test, which is a description of the material, and interviews designed to measure four indicators of critical thinking skills: interpreting information, analysing, drawing conclusions and evaluating. The results showed that most students, 47.63%, had critical thinking skills in the medium category, 28.57% of students were in the high category and 23.8% were in the low category. Students in the high category were able to fulfil all critical thinking indicators well, while students in the medium and low categories had difficulties in drawing conclusions and evaluating the problem solving procedures they had carried out. These results show that students' mathematical critical thinking skills still need to be improved, especially in the areas of reasoning and evaluation. To improve these skills, more interactive and contextualised learning methods are needed, such as the use of technology and the application of more complex and challenging problems. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) berbasis literasi numerasi pada materi aritmetika sosial yang valid, praktis dan efektif. Jenis penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE. Model pengembangan ADDIE memiliki lima tahapan, yaitu <em>analysis </em>(analisis), <em>design </em>(perancangan), <em>development </em>(pengembangan), <em>implementation </em>(penerapan) dan <em>evaluation </em>(evaluasi). Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar angket validasi untuk aspek kevalidan, lembar angket respon guru dan lembar angket respon siswa untuk aspek kepraktisan dan soal tes berbentuk uraian sebanyak 5 soal untuk aspek keefektifan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kualitas produk yang dihasilkan berdasarkan aspek kevalidan memenuhi kriteria sangat valid dengan rata-rata 83,92%. Aspek kepraktisan berdasarkan angket respon guru dan respon siswa yang diberikan memenuhi kriteria praktis dengan rata-rata 77,20%. Aspek keefektifan berdasarkan hasil tes memenuhi kriteria cukup efektif. Hal ini berdasarkan persentase ketuntasan belajar sebesar 50%. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut ketuntasan belajar siswa mencapai kriteria cukup baik, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD berbasis literasi numerasi pada materi aritmetika sosial yang digunakan dalam pembelajaran cukup efektif. <p>Literasi matematika merupakan kemampuan yang harus dimiliki setiap siswa agar mampu menganalisis permasalahan matematika dari berbagai sudut pandang. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita materi teorema Phytagoras. Penelitian kualitatif deskriptif ini dilaksanakan pada 27 siswa kelas VIII C SMP Swasta Tumpang tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Pemilihan subjek menggunakan purposive sampling yakni sebanyak 3 siswa berdasarkan kategori kemampuan tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan tes, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah reduksi, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik keabsahan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa subjek dengan kategori kemampuan literasi matematika “Tinggi” teridentifikasi telah memenuhi indikator merumuskan masalah, menerapkan masalah, dan mengartikan hasil penyelesaian sesuai dengan kemampuannya dan menggunakan bahasa sendiri. Subjek dengan kategori kemampuan “Sedang” teridentifikasi telah memenuhi indikator menerapkan masalah dan mengartikan hasil penyelesaian sesuai dengan kemampuannya dan menggunakan bahasa sendiri. Subjek tidak memenuhi indikator merumuskan masalah karena subjek belum mampu menuangkannya ke dalam bentuk matematika. <p>Pendidikan dianggap sebagai faktor utama yang menentukan peluang dan jenis pekerjaan yang dapat diperoleh seseorang di berbagai tempat, orang yang memiliki tingkat pendidikan lebih tinggi cenderung mendapatkan pekerjaan dengan gaji lebih tinggi dan kondisi kerja yang lebih baik. Hal ini juga berlaku di Gili Ketapang, di mana pendidikan dapat berperan penting dalam meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat setempat. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis rata-rata tingkat pendidikan masyarakat di pulau gili ketapang dan menganalisis korelasi pendidikan terhadap jenis pekerjaan dan pendapatan masyarakat di pulau gili ketapang kabupaten probolinggo. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomologi. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dokumentasi. Keabsahan data menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi metode. Teknik analisis data menggunakan pengumpulan data, reduksi data,verifikasi data dan reduksi data atau kesimpulan. Informan penelitian ini terdiri dari staf kantor dan masyarakat di pulau Gili. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu 1). pendidikan terakhir masyarakat Gili, mayoritas populasi hanya menyelesaikan pendidikan hingga Sekolah Dasar (SD). Pendidikan terakhir yang dicatat adalah Sekolah Dasar (SD) 22 orang, Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) 2 orang, Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) 2 orang, dan Strata 1 (S1) 4 orang. Selain itu, terdapat 5 orang yang tidak memiliki catatan pendidikan formal atau tidak menyelesaikan pendidikan. 2). Masyarakat gili benar-benar bergantung kepada hasil laut untuk bertahan hidup dan untuk kebutuhan hidup. Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (ESD) menekankan pentingnya pengintegrasian nilai-nilai keberlanjutan ke dalam proses pembelajaran guna membentuk generasi yang sadar akan isu-isu sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di beberapa sekolah dasar yang telah menerapkan kurikulum ESD. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan kepala sekolah, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kurikulum ESD memberikan kerangka yang jelas untuk pengajaran nilai keberlanjutan, penerapannya masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan pemahaman guru tentang konsep ESD. Namun, siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran berbasis ESD menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kesadaran lingkungan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis persepsi mahasiswa dan dosen bahasa Inggris terhadap penggunaan ungkapan-ungkapan idomatik terhadap kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa dan menemukan hubungan antara penggunaan idiom dengan kemampuan berbicaranya. Sebanyak 20 mahasiswa semester IV dan seorang dosen bahasa Inggris dari Jurusan Bahasa Inggris Universitas Islam Zainul Hasan terpilih sebagai responden dalam penelitian ini. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan pendataan dengan menggunakan tiga langkah yaitu observasi, angket dalam bentuk angket online dan wawancara semi terstruktur. Hasil penelitian ini adalah mayoritas mahasiswa dan dosen memiliki persepsi positif terhadap pengaruh penggunaan idiom dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara mahasiswa. Ini dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara siswa dengan menerapkan ekspresi idiomatik terlebih lagi dalam kehidupan sehari-hari bagi siswa. <p>In Islam, the division of inherited assets is carried out based on sharia principles so that the transfer of property ownership is in accordance with religious values. This study aims to describe students' understanding in mathematical inheritance division and the use of the I-Waris application. This research is mixed research, namely a procedure for collecting, analyzing and combining qualitative and quantitative methods in one research. The research subjects/objects were class XII students of Madrasah Aliyah Sirojul Akhyar, Alasmalang Village, Raas District, Sumenep Regency, consisting of 35 students. The instruments used to collect research data were tests, interviews and questionnaires. The data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. This research consists of five stages, namely: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, data verification and conclusions. The results of the study showed that students' mathematical understanding was classified as moderate, with the following details: high understanding of 4 students (12%), moderate understanding of 18 students (51%), low understanding of 13 students (37%). <p>Digital storytelling has emerged as an innovative tool in education, allowing students to enhance both their creativity and critical thinking. However, there is limited research examining its impact in elementary school settings. This study aims to evaluate the effect of digital storytelling on improving creativity and critical thinking among 5th-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-and post-test design. The research involved 25 students, with data collected through a 20-question multiple-choice test. Validity and reliability tests yielded a validity score of < 0.05 and a Cronbach alpha of 0.854, indicating that the test was both valid and reliable. Analysis using a paired sample t-test revealed a significant influence of digital storytelling on creativity, with a significance score < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0. These results suggest that digital storytelling effectively enhances creativity and critical thinking by engaging students in expressive, multimedia-based learning. The findings highlight the need for educators to integrate digital storytelling into classroom practices to foster essential 21st-century skills. This study investigates the effectiveness of blended learning approach in mathematics, aiming to improve students' holistic skills by combining conventional teaching methods with digital tools. Employing a quasi-experimental design, the research involved a pre-test and post-test with a control group and an experimental group, focusing on 10th-grade students at MA Mambaul Huda Krasak Banyuwangi. Data were collected using multiple-choice tests on sequences and series and analyzed using SPSS, specifically an independent sample t-test. The results revealed a substantial improvement in the experimental group's mean score (85,22) compared to the control group's mean score (77,90), with a significance level greater than 0.05. This indicates that the integrated approach significantly enhances students' understanding of complex mathematical concepts. The findings suggest that combining traditional and digital media is effective in fostering a more engaging and impactful learning environment. <p><em>The integration of digital media in educational settings is increasingly common, yet its effectiveness in improving student engagement compared to traditional media is less explored. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of digital-based learning media in improving student engagement by comparing classes that use traditional media and classes that use digital media. The research design is quantitative with a quasi-experiment design. Data was collected through a questionnaire assessing student engagement given to 30 students in the control group and 32 students in the experimental group. The population in this study were all seventh-grade students at MTsN 5 Banyuwangi, but using a random sampling technique, class VII-B was obtained as the control class and class VII-C as the experimental class. Descriptive analysis showed significant differences, with the experimental class having a higher mean engagement score (78.60) than the control class (70.36). Based on the independent sample t-test analysis results, a significance value of 0.00 <0.05 was obtained, so there is a difference in student engagement between the control and experimental classes. These findings suggest that digital media, such as YouTube, significantly increase student engagement more effectively than traditional methods. <p><em>Every human being is created uniquely, with no two individuals being exactly the same, not even twins. These differences shape each person's potential and characteristics. In schools, such differences create diversity among students, resulting in multikultural classes with varied learning needs. The Independent Curriculum mandates that teachers address these needs through differentiated learning. This study aims to analyze the learning needs of students in multikultural classes and the application of differentiated learning to optimize those needs. Using qualitative research methods, this descriptive qualitative study examines findings and practices related to differentiated learning. The results reveal that students in multikultural classes exhibit diverse learning needs, which are influenced by: (1) Readiness – Students' knowledge and skills in achieving learning goals require diagnostic assessments by teachers to determine their readiness. (2) Interest or Motivation – Students' interests significantly motivate their engagement in learning. (3) Learning Profile – This refers to students' preferred learning approaches, enabling better comprehension of lessons. <p><em>The speaking activity of a speaker to a speech partner with a group of people in one place is called a speech event. This research aims to analyze the relationship between mode and function of speech in the two novels Padang Bulan and Cinta di Gelas by Andrea Hirata. The relationship between mode and function usually relates to the way of speaking and the purpose of the speech. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The dual novels Padang Bulan and Cinta di Gelas by Andrea Hirata are the subjects used in this research. The data collection technique in this research was carried out by reading the data source, then marking the novel, coding, and classifying the found data on the data card. Next, carry out data analysis in accordance with the theory that is the basis of the research. The relationship between the mode and function of expressive speech acts is a relationship or continuity between the two to determine the meaning contained in the data. The relationship between mode and function concerns the way of speaking and the purpose of the speech. The relationship between mode and function of expressive speech acts in the novel dulogy Padang Bulan and Cinta di Gelas by Andrea Hirata consists of six relationships between mode and function of speech, namely, (a) convivial optative relationship; (b) competitive imperative relationships; (c) collaborative imperative relationships; (d) conflictive imperative relationship; (e) conflictive interrogative relationship; and (f) collaborative obligative relationships. <p><em>Scientific writing ability and HOTS are essential skills for students in facing academic and professional challenges. However, individual writing instruction often fails to develop HOTS optimally. This research aims to determine whether there is a significant difference in HOTS between students who apply collaborative writing and those who do not. Using a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental Pretest-Posttest Control Group design, this study involved 50 Indonesian Language Education students divided into experimental (n=29) and control (n=21) groups. The experimental group implemented collaborative writing for 6 weeks, while the control group performed individual writing. Data were collected through HOTS tests, writing assessment rubrics, observations, and questionnaires. Data analysis used independent t-tests and regression analysis. The results showed a significant difference in HOTS scores between the experimental (M=85.17; SD=6.84) and control (M=78.92; SD=7.31) groups, with t=4.572 and p<0.05. Collaborative writing proved effective in improving students' HOTS, particularly in aspects of analysis, evaluation, and creativity. The process of discussion, idea sharing, and feedback in collaborative writing played an important role in developing multiple perspectives and improving the quality of student reflection. These findings support the integration of collaborative writing into the writing curriculum in higher education. Further research is needed to identify specific factors in collaborative writing that contribute most to HOTS development, as well as strategies to optimize its benefits for all students.</em></p>Hemas Haryas Harja Susetya

Penelitian ini merupakan metode kualtitafi dengan pendekatan deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data yang dilakukan ialah metode observasi yang didukung oleh metode wawancara. Pengumpulan data dilakukan di SMA Negeri 1 Paiton dengan objeknya ialah siswa kelas XI sejumlah 35 orang atau setara dengan satu kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan kurung waktu satu minggu atau dari 3-7 September 2024. Terdapat dua data pada penelitian ini, yakni data primer (utama) berupa hasil karangan teks deskripsi siswa dan data sekunder (pendukung) berasal dari beberapa refernsi terpercaya, seperti Jurnal, penelitian ilmiah, buku dan lain sebagainya. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat diketahui, bahwa peserta didik terbantu dengan adanya media visual. <p><em>The purpose of this study was to determine how the application of the Team Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model in mathematics learning, then also to find out whether the Team Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model can improve student learning outcomes. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The sample in this study were all students of class VII A SMP Negeri 1 Gending in the 2024/2025 academic year as many as 34 students. The instruments used in this study were observation, documentation and student learning achievement tests. Based on the results of the study, it is concluded that the use of Team Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model can improve student learning outcomes in mathematics class VII SMP Negeri 1 Gending. This can be shown in the end-of-cycle test results which obtained a significant increase in scores, meaning that the math learning process using the Team Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative model was successful by looking at the class average value which increased with the results in the pre-cycle of 47.794, cycle I of 66.323 and cycle II to 76.323. <p><em>This research aims to overcome the problem of students' low level of mathematical activity through the implementation of the Start With A Question Learning Strategy in class X at Miftahul Ulum Islamic High School, Jatiurip. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which was carried out in 3 cycles. By involving 11 students as research subjects. Data was collected using questionnaires and tests. The research results showed that the level of student activity, based on the questionnaire, increased from 54.69% in cycle I to 69.84% in cycle II, an increase of 15.15%. Likewise, in cycle III there was an increase of 14.4% from 69.84% in cycle II to 84.24% in cycle III. Apart from that, the average learning test score also increased from 27% in cycle I to 45% in cycle II, with a total increase of 18%. Likewise, in cycle III there was an increase of 36% from cycle II of 45% to cycle II of 81%. <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran <em>Project based learning </em>(PjBL) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajar matematika pada materi komposisi fungsi. Jenis penelitian termasuk dalam penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan <em>purposive sampling,</em> dengan sampel eksperimen terdiri dari 33 siswa kelas 11-A1 dan sampel kontrol terdiri dari 32 siswa kelas 11-A4 di SMA Tunas Luhur. Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar tes dan angket respon siswa. Analisis data menggunakan beberapa metode yaitu: (1) uji prasyarat yang terdiri dari: uji normalitas dan uji Homogenitas. (2) uji hipotesis dengan uji-F dengan Anova (melihat pengaruh masing-masing taraf perlakuan) dan Manova (melihat pengaruh secara keseluruhan). Hasil uji normalitas data sehingga berdistribusi normal. Hasil uji normalitas data sehingga asumsi homogenitas terpenuhi. Hasil uji manova nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000, yang lebih kecil dari α = 0,05. This research reveals that teachers are enthusiastic about the flexibility this curriculum offers, but also face a number of challenges. The main motivation of teachers is to create active learners and answer the challenges of the times. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran <em>Problem Based Learning </em>(PBL) dibandingkan dengan siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu metode kuasi eksperimen dengan pendekatan dan desain kuantitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa berupa soal uraian yang terdiri dari enam butir soal setiap kemampuan. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Besuk, sedangkan sampel diambil secara purposive dengan hasil pertimbangan kelas terpilih kelas XI A sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI B sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran <em>Problem Based Learning </em>(PBL) dan kelas kontrol diberi pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Teknik analisis data menggunakan Uji perbedaan dua rata-rata, Uji Regresi linear, Uji anova satu dan dua jalur. <p>Matematika merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit. Sehingga membutuhkan salah satu model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan pembelajaran tersebut. Oleh karena itu, Model <em>Problem Based Learning</em> (PBL) sesuai dengan permasalahan diatas, tetapi penerapannya dan evaluasinya terkait dengan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dan minat belajar matematika siswa masih terbatas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui suatu pengaruh dengan cara membandingkan efektivitas antara Model <em>Problem Based Learning</em> (PBL) dan metode pembelajaran langsung dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dan minat belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain quasi-eksperimen. Subjek penelitian ini adalah cluster random sampling, yang melibatkan dua kelas sebagai sampel,yaitu kelas X Bisnis Ritel yang menerapkan <em>Problem Based Learning</em> (PBL) dan kelas X TSM yang menggunakan pembelajaran langsung. Data yang terkumpul kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Sample t-Test untuk mengevaluasi pretest, post-test, dan angket dengan tingkat signifikansi α = 0,05.Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi untuk kemampuan pemecahan masalah adalah 0,000 dan hasil angket minat belajar matematika siswa adalah 0,000. Kedua nilai signifikansi tersebut lebih rendah dari 0,05. Penelitian tersebut dilakukan di tingkat SMPN 1 BESUK pada kelas VIII. Metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus digunakan. Observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen digunakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model <em>TGT</em> bisa dikatakan berhasil meningkatkan keterlibatan sosial, mental, dan fisik siswa. Siswa sangat antusias, berpartisipasi aktif dalam diskusi kelompok, dan lebih banyak berinteraksi dengan teman mereka. Di SMK Darul Lughah Wal Karomah tingkat kemampuan literasi matematika siswa terbilang rendah, utamanya kelas XI yang menjadi objek dalam penelitian ini. Data penelitian ini adalah kesalahan ejaan yang terdapat pada tugas menulis Teks Deskripsi siswa kelas XII SMA Syekh Abdul Qodir Al-Jailani dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 18 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini adalah teknik membaca, memahami serta mencatat kesalahan ejaan pada tugas menulis Teks Deskripsi siswa kelas XII SMA Syekh Abdul Qodir Al-Jailani. <p>Era digital telah membawa perubahan besar dalam cara berinteraksi dan membentuk karakter siswa, terutama di kalangan generasi muda seperti siswa Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dampak interaksi sosial di era digital terhadap pembentukan karakter siswa di SMP Bhakti Pertiwi, Kecamatan Paiton, Kabupaten Probolinggo. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam terhadap siswa, guru, dan staf sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa interaksi sosial digital memberikan dampak positif berupa kemudahan komunikasi, namun juga menghadirkan tantangan seperti cyberbullying dan berkurangnya kualitas interaksi tatap muka. Berdasarkan teori pembentukan karakter Thomas Lickona dan teori interaksi sosial George Herbert Mead, penelitian ini menemukan bahwa siswa di SMP Bhakti Pertiwi memiliki pemahaman moral yang baik dalam menjaga etika komunikasi di dunia maya, namun tetap memerlukan bimbingan dalam menghadapi tantangan era digital. Pendidikan karakter yang diterapkan di sekolah melalui kegiatan pembinaan dan literasi digital menjadi kunci dalam membentuk siswa yang berintegritas, bermoral, dan mampu beradaptasi di tengah perkembangan teknologi. <em>The digital era has brought significant changes in social interactions and character formation, especially among younger generations such as junior high school students. This study aims to analyze the impact of social interactions in the digital era on character formation among students at SMP Bhakti Pertiwi, Paiton Subdistrict, Probolinggo Regency. Using a qualitative approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with students, teachers, and school staff. The findings show that digital social interactions provide positive effects, such as easier communication, but also present challenges like cyberbullying and a decline in face-to-face interaction quality. Based on Thomas Lickona's theory of character education and George Herbert Mead's theory of social interaction, this study found that students at SMP Bhakti Pertiwi possess a good moral understanding of maintaining communication ethics in the virtual world, but still need guidance in navigating the challenges of the digital age. <p>Setiap karya tulis tentunya memiliki beberapa paragraf, kemudian setiap paragraf akan memiliki beberapa kalimat. Kalimat memiliki beberapa pola tersendiri untuk membedakan dengan pola kalimat lainnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pola-pola kalimat dalam teks argumentasi hasil karangan siswa kelas XI SMK Syekh Abdul Qodir Al Jailani. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif. Sumber data yang dijadikan sebagai akses adalah dua teks argumentasi hasil karangan siswa kelas XI. Sedangkan data yang dibutuhkan berupa beberapa kalimat yang tersebar dalam setiap paragraf teks argumentasi. Teknik pengumpulan data ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan teknik observasi, teknik simak, dan teknik catat sebagai tindak lanjut. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pola kalimat sebanyak 6 macam yaitu; S-P, S-P-O, S-P-Pel, S-P-Ket, S-P-O-Pel, dan S-P-O-Ket, yang ditemukan dalam setiap paragraf dari hasil karangan teks argumentasi siswa. Data analysis includes three stages,namely data reduction,data exposure,conclusion and verification. The result of the research show that the difficulties faced by students at SMAN 1 MAROn in learning English are caused by two factors, namely internal and external factors. Researchers in this study used descriptive research with a qualitative approach as a research method. The instruments used were observation and interviews. The interview was conducted with one teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Gending. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or verification. Based on the research results, it was found that the Indonesian language teacher's perspective on the ice breaking method was in accordance with the teacher's skill indicators. <p>This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of students' learning about mathematical relations and functions through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model at Zainul Hasan Genggong Superior Middle School. The PBL method was chosen because of its ability to increase student engagement and facilitate deeper understanding of concepts. This research uses a qualitative approach with the subject of class VIII students who are involved in learning using the PBL model. The research results show that the application of the PBL model significantly increases students' understanding of the concepts of relationships and functions. Students show improvements in critical and creative thinking skills, and participate more actively in group discussions. In addition, students also reported more enjoyable and meaningful learning experiences, which contributed to their motivation in learning mathematics. From these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL model is effective in improving student learning outcomes in the material of mathematical relations and functions. Speaking is an important component of language acquisition, yet students often struggle with it due to anxiety, limited vocabulary, or poor organization of thought. Mind mapping, a visual method of organizing information, helps students structure their ideas in an organized and creative way, facilitating better verbal expression. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and analysis of documents resulting from student projects which involved the task of creating texts for observation reports and advertisements. The research results show that the application of the PBL model is able to increase student creativity in terms of problem solving, independence, collaboration and innovation. Through the projects given, students learn to connect theory with real applications, think critically, and produce creative and innovative work. PBL also succeeded in increasing learning enthusiasm and student involvement in the learning process. <p>This Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve the literacy skills of writing observation report texts through the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method in class X students of MA. Sirajul Ulum. The low ability of students in writing observation report texts is the background of this research. PBL was chosen because this method encourages students to learn actively through solving problems related to real situations. This research was conducted in two cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of the study were 30 students. Data were obtained through observation, writing tests, and interviews. The results showed that the application of PBL significantly improved students’ ability to write observation report texts. In the first cycle, the average student score increased from 65 to 75, and in the second cycle to 85. In addition, students were more active and motivated in the learning process. <p><em>Writing argumentative texts is an important skill that is often a challenge for students. The cooperative learning approach is considered a potential method to overcome this difficulty, but there has not been much research that explores students' perspectives in depth in this context. This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of cooperative learning in improving the ability to write argumentative texts from a student's perspective. The method used was a qualitative case study with a sample of seven class XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Paiton, where data was collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using narrative analysis. The results showed that cooperative learning significantly increased student engagement and the quality of the argumentative texts they produced, with students reporting benefits from collaboration in groups and constructive feedback. The implications of this research include the application of cooperative learning strategies in teaching practice as well as attention to the issue of the digital divide to ensure fair access for all students. <p><em>Public speaking skills are still not fully mastered by students. This reluctance to appear publicly is due to low self-confidence and minimal mastery of public speaking techniques. This inability causes communication that should be effective to become degraded. Therefore, English language educators are required to use language teaching by implementing a communicative approach to help students develop their public speaking skills. Education and learning depend heavily on communication, therefore students need to improve their speaking skills because almost every action in the classroom requires communication.</em> <em>The purpose of this study was to examine the use of a communicative approach in English language learning and strategies and resources used by teachers to improve students' public speaking skills. This qualitative research involves class XI students of MAN 2 Probolinggo. Furthermore, the data obtained during two months of teaching practice was analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis methods. The results showed that students who participated in this approach significantly improved their speaking skills, including confidence, fluency, and audience participation. These findings indicate that the communicative approach is an effective strategy for developing students' public speaking skills. <p><em>One of the materials in the Indonesian language subject is making advertisements. In making advertisements, creativity is needed to make attractive advertisements. Therefore, a learning model is needed that can produce a product in the form of attractive advertisements, one of which is by implementing the Project Based Learning learning model. The project based learning model is learning that uses projects as a learning method. This is in accordance with the objectives of the study, namely to determine the application of the project based learning model in Indonesian language subjects and to analyze the application of project based learning in increasing student creativity in making advertisements. The place where the research took place was at SPM Al-Mashduqiah, involving teachers and 5 class VIII D students who were used as research informants. The approach used in this study was qualitative with a descriptive research type. The data collection techniques used were observation and interviews. While the data analysis used was data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. <p><em>English has become an important language in the era of globalization, playing a key role in international communication and various sectors such as economy and technology. In Indonesia, although English is taught from elementary school to higher education, challenges in the learning process are still prevalent, especially at the high school level. SMA Tunas Luhur focuses on improving students' English skills, but the specific challenges and opportunities for 12th-grade students, particularly in preparation for final exams and life after school, have not been extensively studied. This research aims to analyze the quality of English learning in the 12th grade at SMA Tunas Luhur by identifying challenges and opportunities that can be optimized to improve student learning outcomes. It also seeks to provide relevant and practical solutions to enhance the quality of English education at the school. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research design with an approach focusing on the experiences and perspectives of students and teachers. Data were collected through a combination of questionnaires, interviews, and observations. Data analysis was conducted following the methodology of Miles and Huberman (1994), which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Observations revealed that some students lacked enthusiasm for learning English, and more active and engaging teaching methods were needed. From the questionnaires, students identified key challenges such as difficulties in speaking, listening, and grammar, as well as lack of motivation and facilities. Interviews with teachers revealed that, despite using various teaching methods such as Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), differences in student motivation and ability remain major challenges. Suggestions for improvement include enhancing facilities, utilizing technology, and introducing extracurricular activities like English clubs as opportunities to improve the quality of learning. English learning in the 12th grade at SMA Tunas Luhur faces various challenges, including a lack of student motivation, limited facilities, and differing student abilities. However, there are opportunities to improve the quality of education through the use of technology, more interactive teaching approaches, and better access to learning materials. The use of digital media makes this process more effective. Quizizz is a platform that is expected to be an effective assessment medium and able to attract interest and increase student concentration. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the effectiveness of assessment using the Quizizz application and to describe the conditions of interest and concentration in learning of class X students at SAQA Vocational School. This research uses various instruments to collect data (1) observation sheets, (2) questionnaires/student response questionnaires, (3) interview guide sheets to support the results of student response questionnaires. <p><em>This research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using image learning media in softfile format in improving students' speaking skills at Darul Lughah wal Karomah Vocational School. This research is motivated by the low level of students' English speaking skills, which is caused by the use of monotonous learning methods and the lack of learning media that attracts students' attention. Soft file image media was chosen because it provides an interactive and flexible visual context, so it can motivate students to be more active in practicing speaking skills. The method used in this research is a quantitative approach with a pretest-posttest design, and involves a sample of vocational school students as research subjects. Data collection was carried out through speaking ability tests, observation sheets, and interviews. The research results showed that there was a significant increase in students' speaking skills after using softfile image learning media, both in terms of fluency, vocabulary mastery, and students' self-confidence. In conclusion, soft file image media has proven to be effective in improving students' speaking skills, as well as providing motivational encouragement in learning English. <p>This study aims to explore the implementation of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method through mind mapping techniques in learning in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Besuk. The PBL method focuses on developing students' critical thinking and problem-solving skills through real-world problem contexts. In its implementation, mind mapping is used as an effective tool to organize and visualize information, making it easier for students to understand learning materials. This study uses a qualitative approach with a classroom action research (CAR) design. Data were collected through observation, questionnaires and document analysis to measure the impact of the implementation of PBL and mind mapping on the learning process and outcomes. The results showed an increase in students' active participation, critical thinking skills, and understanding of the material presented. Students also showed higher enthusiasm in participating in learning activities. From these findings, it can be concluded that the implementation of the PBL method with mind mapping techniques has a positive contribution to the quality of learning at SMA Negeri 1 Besuk. <p><em>This research aims to examine the influence of Quiziz-based ICT learning media on students' interest in learning Exponent class X material at MAN 1 Probolinggo. The approach in this research uses quantitative methods. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, questionnaires and documentation. The analysis used to test the hypothesis in this research uses the Product Moment analysis test formula with the SPSS application with research subjects of 48 students. The researchers' findings show that the sig.(2-tailed) value between the ICT Quiziz learning media and Learning Interest is 0.001 < 0.005, meaning there is a significant correlation between the i Quiziz Learning Media variable and Learning Interest. The calculated r value of the correlation between ICT Quiziz learning media and Interest in Learning is 0.448 > r table 0.284, then H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted with a Pearson Correlation value of 0.448. <p>This research aims to improve students' English learning outcomes through the Discovery Learning learning reference application for class XI SMAS ZAHA 1 Gengsgong. This study was carried out in the first semester (odd). The time for actualizing this study is from July to August 2024 from designing, actualizing the study and working on the report. The subjects of this study were class XI students at SMAS ZAHA 1 Genggong in 4 classes, namely 104 students. This research mechanism applies a class activity assessment scheme that takes place in two cycles. The data collection technique used in this study is implementing observation of teacher activities in learning, observing students' activities in learning and testing student learning outcomes. The results of the study prove that in cycle I the percentage of classical completeness of student learning outcomes was 66.66% for class XIA, 65.38% for XIB, 78.57% for XIC, 75% for 88.46%, XIC 92.85%, XID 100% increased as much as in class XIA 26.6%, XIB 23.07%, So it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning reference is able to increase the English learning outcomes of class XI SMAS ZAHA 1 Genggong students.</p>Wildatul MaghfirahMagfirotul HamdiahAisyah Dinda Bulgis

<p>In general, this study aims to better understand the influence of the PBL learning model on students' mathematical thinking skills and level of learning independence. The specific objectives of this study are as follows: 1. To determine the extent to which the PBL learning model affects the mathematical reasoning skills and learning independence of class XI MA Walisongo students. 2. To determine the positive and significant influence of the application of the PBL learning model on students' learning independence and mathematical reasoning skills. Based on the results of the research discussion, the average pretest score of the PBL class was 59.00, while the control group was 56.83. After the learning changes were made, the average posttest score of the control class (conventional) students was 70.1 and the experimental class (PBL) was 83.3. The results of the hypothesis test showed that t count = 6.151 was obtained at a significance level = 0.05 and t table = 2.042. H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted if t count > t table or 6.151 > 2.042 by comparing t count and t table. <p><em>The low level of students' critical thinking skills in learning mathematics, especially in function composition material in class XG MAN 2 Probolinggo, is the background of this study. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model in improving students' critical thinking skills. A total of 18 students of class XG were involved in this study. The approach used was quantitative with a one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected through pretests and posttests conducted before and after the application of the PBL model, as well as through observations and interviews. Analysis was conducted using the Paired Samples T-Test statistical test to assess significant differences between pretest and posttest results, as well as Cohen's d to measure the impact of PBL implementation. Results showed significant improvement in critical thinking skills, with a pretest mean score of 54.72 (SD = 12.55) and posttest of 72.78 (SD = 10.89). The t-test showed a significant difference (t = -5.021, df = 17, p = 0.000) with an average improvement of 18.06 points. Cohen's effect size (d = 1.32) indicates the large impact of implementing PBL. <p>The purpose of this study was to determine the speaking skills of students who were taught and those who were not taught using video dubbing in class X students of MAN 1 Probolinggo. And to find out whether there is a significant difference between being taught and not being taught using video dubbing on the speaking skills of class X students of MAN 1 Probolinggo. This study is a quantitative study and was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design with two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The population and sample of this study were students of class X MAN 1 Probolinggo. In class XC as the experimental class, there were 20 students and in class XD as the control class, there were 20 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the speaking skills of students who are taught and those who are not taught using video dubbing in class X MAN 1 Probolinggo. The sig value of 0.415 is smaller than 0.05. The calculation of the independent sample t-test shows that there is a significant difference between those who are taught and those who are not taught using video dubbing. <p><em>This study examines the impact of the "Gate Password" program on students' English-speaking skills at Bhakti Pertiwi Junior High School. The program requires students to recite predetermined English phrases at the school gate, aiming to improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, and speaking confidence. Using qualitative methods, data were collected through questionnaires, interviews, and direct observation of 12 students and one English teacher. The findings reveal that 100% of students agreed the program improved their speaking abilities, with 95% feeling more confident and 90% motivated to learn English. However, 70% of the students reported difficulty in memorizing the passwords, and many lacked comprehension of the phrases used. The teacher emphasized the challenge of students' insufficient preparation, resulting in delays during the recitations. Despite these obstacles, the program has had a positive effect on increasing familiarity with English pronunciation, though the improvement in speaking fluency is less significant. The study concludes that while the Gate Password program enhances students' motivation and confidence, it faces challenges in memory retention and comprehension. This research develops VINTEK techniques (video and text) in English learning to improve students' communicative skills at MAN 2 Probolinggo. The method used is research and development (Research and Development) with the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the study show that learning based on animated videos and texts is able to improve material understanding (80%), student engagement (90%), and the effectiveness of media use (80%). Despite the positive results, there is still room for improvement in understanding and interactivity. <p><em>The objective of this study is to improve English reading comprehension through Project-Based Learning on Grade X of SMAI Miftahul Ulum, for the academic year 2024/2025. This research explores how the use of Project-Based Learning can enhance students' reading comprehension. The study is classified as classroom action research. Qualitative data were obtained through classroom observations and interviews. Quantitative data were collected through reading tests administered to students in the first and second cycles. Based on qualitative data, the study found that the use of PBL effectively improved students' reading comprehension. They were able to extract information from texts effectively. The material was engaging and increased their awareness in analyzing texts. As a result, their comprehension improved. <p><em>This study aims to analyze the effect of the Think-Pair-Share (TSTS) learning model based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on students' mathematical problem-solving and communication skills. The research utilizes a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study were selected through cluster random sampling, involving two classes as samples: Class VII C as the experimental group, which was taught using the TSTS model based on PBL, and Class VII B as the control group, which used conventional teaching methods. The collected data were then analyzed using the Independent Sample t-Test to evaluate the pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire results with a significance level of α = 0.05. The analysis results showed a significant improvement in the problem-solving and communication skills of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the application of the TSTS model based on PBL can be an effective strategy for enhancing students' academic abilities and social skills. <p><em>English language learning often faces challenges for students who do not speak the language as a second language, which can hinder their ability to participate actively in class. This study aims to explore the effect of a bilingual (English-Indonesian) approach on students' cognitive abilities in English language learning. Using narrative analysis, the study involved observations and interviews with students and teachers to collect qualitative data regarding their learning experiences. The results of the analysis showed that the bilingual approach significantly improved students' ability to respond to teacher questions and participate in class discussions. The findings support the argument that the use of two languages not only reduces linguistic anxiety, but also strengthens students' learning motivation. The implications of this study highlight the need for the integration of the bilingual approach in the English curriculum, as well as the importance of considering students' linguistic backgrounds to create an inclusive and equitable learning environment. <p><em>This research aims to explore students' perceptions regarding the use of gamification through the Wordwall application in learning English, especially in enriching vocabulary. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with students who have used the Wordwall application in the learning process. The research results reveal that in general students have a positive perception of the use of this application. They argue that the gamification elements in Wordwall, such as challenges, and immediate feedback, make learning more engaging and fun. Students also report that using this app helps them remember and understand new vocabulary more easily. However, some students mentioned challenges in initial adaptation to the technology, especially in understanding how certain features work. Apart from that, the social interactions formed when using Wordwall are also an added value in collaborative learning. These findings provide important insights into how gamification technologies can be integrated in language teaching to improve student engagement and learning outcomes. In addition, this research also recommends initial training for students to optimize the use of this application, as well as the need to adapt gamification features to be more inclusive for various student ability levels. Future studies could explore the long-term impact of gamification on language retention and assess the effectiveness of various gamification tools in different educational contexts. Additionally, examining how gamification influences motivation, especially among students with different learning styles, would further enrich understanding of its role in education. <p><em>Groups or individuals develop unique characteristics within a social, cultural, or economic context. This process can enrich society, but it also has the potential to cause tension between different groups. This research discusses differentiation-based learning innovation at MAN 2 Probolinggo. The aim of the research is to explore the impact of this method on regular and accelerated classes. Data collection techniques in this research are observation, interviews, questionnaires and reflection. The researcher observed the learning session carried out by the subject teacher, then interviewed the teacher after carrying out the teaching process, the researcher used a questionnaire system using a questionnaire to conclude students’ understanding, interests and attitudes towards learning, then the researcher carried out a reflection to analyze the process and results of the program that has been implemented. This approach is designed to meet students’ diverse learning needs. In regular classes, teachers implement collaborative projects that increase student engagement. Meanwhile, accelerated classes utilize technology to support independent learning. The results showed a significant increase in students’ academic achievement. Students in regular classes feel more confident in participating. In accelerated classes, students show higher motivation to learn. Students’ social skills also develop through interaction in groups. Although there were challenges in designing materials, the support of school management was very helpful. Teacher training is the key to successful implementation. Formative assessment is used to adjust teaching methods. These findings suggest expanding the use of differentiated methods in other classes. This research provides recommendations for further development in learning innovation. It is hoped that this method can improve the overall quality of education. The results of this research are that the percentage of students in regular classes is lower than in accelerated classes. One of the online games that is very popular at the moment is Mobile Legend, this game is very popular with everyone, especially school children because this game has a luxurious appearance and can be played together. However, the problem is that if this game is played excessively, it will have negative impacts on students, one of which is minimal social interaction between students. The purpose of this research is to determine the impact of the mobile legend online game on students' social interactions. The method used in the research is a qualitative method. The results obtained by the Mobile Legends online game have a big impact on students' social interactions and can reduce the intensity of direct interaction with friends in class, disrupting social skills such as communication and understanding emotions. <p><em>Interest in learning is an important factor that influences students in the learning process. As a basic factor, interest in learning influences students' understanding of the material provided by the teacher as well as students' success in achieving maximum results at the end of learning. This article presents the results of pre-experimental research with a one group Pree-Test Post-Test design which aims to determine the effect of crossword puzzle media on increasing interest in studying in class XI B students in economics subjects at SMAN 1 MARON. The subjects of this research consisted of 30 students. This research uses quantitative methods with a One Group Pre-Test Post-Test Design plan. The tests carried out were the normality test (Shapire-Wilk) and the T-Test (Paired Sample T-Test). The results of the normality test show a significance value of 0.138 (Pre-Test) and 0.353 (Post-Test) which shows a significance of > 0.05 and normal distribution. The average student results before and after implementation using Crossword Puzzle media increased from 70.86 to 81.96, with the results of the Paired Sample T-Test showing a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05 (influential).
