UTILIZATION OF QUIZZ APPLICATION AS ASSESSMENT MEDIA IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING

Abstract

Student assessment activities are an important component in teaching and learning activities to obtain information about the achievement of the results of the student learning process in accordance with the objectives that have been set. The use of digital media makes this process more effective. Quizizz is a platform that is expected to be an effective assessment medium and able to attract interest and increase student concentration. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method to describe the effectiveness of assessment using the Quizizz application and to describe the conditions of interest and concentration in learning of class X students at SAQA Vocational School. This research uses various instruments to collect data (1) observation sheets, (2) questionnaires/student response questionnaires, (3) interview guide sheets to support the results of student response questionnaires. The research results provide an illustration that the Quizizz application can be used as a very practical assessment medium and is able to foster students’ interest in learning English and increase students’ interest and concentration in working on assessment questions to achieve maximum results..
