IMPLEMENTASI KURIKULUM EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT (ESD) PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi kurikulum Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) pada mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) di sekolah dasar. Pendidikan untuk Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (ESD) menekankan pentingnya pengintegrasian nilai-nilai keberlanjutan ke dalam proses pembelajaran guna membentuk generasi yang sadar akan isu-isu sosial, ekonomi, dan lingkungan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus di beberapa sekolah dasar yang telah menerapkan kurikulum ESD. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara dengan guru dan kepala sekolah, serta analisis dokumen terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun kurikulum ESD memberikan kerangka yang jelas untuk pengajaran nilai keberlanjutan, penerapannya masih menghadapi tantangan, seperti keterbatasan sumber daya dan pemahaman guru tentang konsep ESD. Namun, siswa yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran berbasis ESD menunjukkan peningkatan dalam kesadaran lingkungan dan kemampuan berpikir kritis. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan penguatan pelatihan guru dan penyediaan materi pembelajaran yang mendukung penerapan ESD dalam mata pelajaran IPS di sekolah dasar.
