PERSPEKTIF GURU TERHADAP METODE ICE BREAKING PADA PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA INDONESIA KELAS VII SMPN 1 GENDING

Abstract

Students often feel bored during the learning process in class. Likewise in learning Indonesian, to overcome this the teacher can use a method, namely the ice breaking method. This research aims to determine the teacher's perspective on the ice breaking method in class 7 Indonesian language learning at SMP Negeri 1 Gending. Researchers in this study used descriptive research with a qualitative approach as a research method. The instruments used were observation and interviews. The interview was conducted with one teacher at SMP Negeri 1 Gending. The data analysis technique used is data reduction, data presentation and conclusions or verification. Based on the research results, it was found that the Indonesian language teacher's perspective on the ice breaking method was in accordance with the teacher's skill indicators. Applying this method can help teachers when teaching, making the class atmosphere more relaxed and enjoyable and students can concentrate more during the learning process. The ice breaking method is an effective method for helping teachers in the teaching and learning process, especially in learning Indonesian.
