PENGARUH MODEL PEMBELAJARAN TSTS BERBASIS PBL UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN PEMECAHAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA DAN KOMUNIKASI SISWA

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Think-Pair-Share (TSTS) learning model based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) on students' mathematical problem-solving and communication skills. The research utilizes a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. The subjects of this study were selected through cluster random sampling, involving two classes as samples: Class VII C as the experimental group, which was taught using the TSTS model based on PBL, and Class VII B as the control group, which used conventional teaching methods. The collected data were then analyzed using the Independent Sample t-Test to evaluate the pre-test, post-test, and questionnaire results with a significance level of α = 0.05. The analysis results showed a significant improvement in the problem-solving and communication skills of students in the experimental group compared to the control group. These findings indicate that the application of the TSTS model based on PBL can be an effective strategy for enhancing students' academic abilities and social skills. This research is expected to contribute to the development of teaching methods in mathematics education.
