DIGITAL STORYTELLING SEBAGAI MEDIA PEMBELAJARAN: MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS DAN BERPIKIR KRITIS DI PENDIDIKAN DASAR

Digital storytelling has emerged as an innovative tool in education, allowing students to enhance both their creativity and critical thinking. However, there is limited research examining its impact in elementary school settings. This study aims to evaluate the effect of digital storytelling on improving creativity and critical thinking among 5th-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-and post-test design. The research involved 25 students, with data collected through a 20-question multiple-choice test. Validity and reliability tests yielded a validity score of < 0.05 and a Cronbach alpha of 0.854, indicating that the test was both valid and reliable. Analysis using a paired sample t-test revealed a significant influence of digital storytelling on creativity, with a significance score < 0.05, leading to the rejection of H0. These results suggest that digital storytelling effectively enhances creativity and critical thinking by engaging students in expressive, multimedia-based learning. The findings highlight the need for educators to integrate digital storytelling into classroom practices to foster essential 21st-century skills. Further research is recommended to explore its effects across diverse educational settings and with more qualitative approaches..
