UNCOVERING THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN SELF-EFFICACY and MATHEMATICAL ABILITY: A CASE STUDY OF JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

Identifying the effect of self-efficacy on the mathematical ability of 8th and 9th grade students at SMP NU Bantaran. Using the GSE scale and Pearson correlation analysis on 72 respondents. The test results showed that no significant relationship was found between self-efficacy and mathematical ability. The study showed that although self-efficacy was expected to affect mathematical ability, the data did not support the relationship. More research is needed for confirmation.
