THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DUBBING VIDEO TO IMPROVE STUDENT’S SPEAKING SKILLS

The purpose of this study was to determine the speaking skills of students who were taught and those who were not taught using video dubbing in class X students of MAN 1 Probolinggo. And to find out whether there is a significant difference between being taught and not being taught using video dubbing on the speaking skills of class X students of MAN 1 Probolinggo. This study is a quantitative study and was conducted using a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group design with two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class. The population and sample of this study were students of class X MAN 1 Probolinggo. In class XC as the experimental class, there were 20 students and in class XD as the control class, there were 20 students. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant difference between the speaking skills of students who are taught and those who are not taught using video dubbing in class X MAN 1 Probolinggo. The sig value of 0.415 is smaller than 0.05. The calculation of the independent sample t-test shows that there is a significant difference between those who are taught and those who are not taught using video dubbing. This means that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.
